This town in the Andalusia region of Spain gave its name to a type of fortified wine made from white grapes (Sherry). A 125,000 capacity track was opened here in 1985 but the relatively remote location did not help the spectator turnout, forcing F1 to move to Barcelona.
The introduction of European GP brought F1 back to this city, and was the venue for the infamous championship decider in 1997 between M. Schumacher and J. Villeneuve. The track was permanently banned after this race, as the city Mayor disrupted the podium celebration by presenting a trophy that was supposed to be presented by a Daimler-Benz dignitary.
It remains one of the popular venues for pre-season testing. Which city?
